Hey there! Welcome to my page.
My name is Ivana Céspedes Jordan, professionally known as Vi Jordan.
I'm a proud Cuban-Mexican artist with a “retro-funk, neo-soul" style. I'm a studio vocalist with expertise performing as a soloist and group singer in latin, jazz, r&b, classical, funk and gospel genres in Los Angeles. When I was 5 years old, I started playing the piano, becoming a trained classical pianist, teacher and accompanist. Through my love for jazz and soul, I discovered my voice while touring with a competitive collegiate vocal jazz ensemble and eventually decided to pursue my career as a singer. My self-titled EP, “Vi Jordan” dropped in February 2022, following my viral YouTube video with members of Earth, Wind and Fire that recently hit 6.5 million views!

Amongst other projects, I have appeared on Disney Channel, The Goldbergs ABC, and I Can See Your Voice (winner Ep 7, S1!). I recently performed alongside Jean Smart on her award winning show Hacks and sang on several hit Disney films like Encanto and Wish. One of the best jobs EVER has been singing with the incomparable composer and songwriter Danny Elfman in the vocal ensemble for his wild live show, From Boingo to Batman to Big Mess and Beyond! Last year, I had the immense pleasure of working with Scott Hoying on his Grammy nominated single, 'Rose Without the Thorns," fulfilling my dream to work with a member of Pentatonix. Other artists I have enjoyed performing with in studio and on stages are The Weeknd, Rihanna, Michael Kiwanuka, Leon Bridges, and Jon Batiste.
I have had the joy of joining an incredible roster of artists who play at Vibrato Grill Jazz, performing old soul classics with a fresh twist and plenty of funk! A live band, singers and me wearing a fancy dress...I love my job!
When I'm not singing in studio, I am vocal coaching and mentoring new talent into the music industry on film sets, in recording studios and through my own vocal studio, Vocals By Vi. It is my ambition to promote musical integrity and excellence throughout my career, and to be the catalyst for other people, particularly Latina women, to thrive in their own musical careers.

The 3B's receive Best Jazz Group award from the Indie Music Channel!
"Knights of Swing"
I was able to participate in a heartwarming 1940's SAG film called the "Knights of Swing" as a lead jazz singer in a female trio called the 3B's. We had the honor of receiving awards for the Best Jazz Group, Best Jazz Video and Video Of the Year from the Indie Music Channel! This is my first time being awarded in my profession, and I couldn't be happier!

I got to fulfill a life-long dream and perform at the Hollywood Bowl itself with the incomparable Danny Elfman for a spooky Halloween show! He has done many major movie themes (Mission Impossible, Edward Scissorhands, Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, etc.) and was also apart of the iconic 70's hit band, Oingo Boingo! What a ride!

My favorite spot to perform, I have the privilege of playing a few times a year with a great band, including Jack Majdecki (Glen Yarbrough, Sergio Mendes, Bobby Womack), Bill Cantos (Herb Alpert, Lea Salonga, Patti Austin) and Hussain Jiffry (Al McKay, Yenni, Dave Weckl). We play a host of funk tunes, classic pop and rock and I get to sing and play a beautiful grand piano. Come on through and let's have some fun together!

In one of the most special nights of my career, I performed "I I Ever Lose This Heaven" with members of EARTH, WIND and FIRE's rhythm section, including Verdine White and John Paris for a music video that went viral last year! I had some of the worlds BEST musicians playing on it, including Paul McCartney's drummer, Tony Bennett's pianist and Celia Cruz's original percussionist!
